HBI-DC works across Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia with communities in-need to prevent hepatitis B infections and its deadly consequences. We meet communities where they are at, speak their languages to provide life-saving health education, Hepatitis B screenings, vaccinations, and linking individuals who test positive to treatment. We need your help to continue our life-saving work.
Did you know...preventing Hepatitis B transmission prevents liver cancer too?
1 in 10 Asian Americans and African Newcomers are infected with Hepatitis B, and many do not even know. Two in three infected individuals do not know they are infected because their symptoms do not show up until they develop liver cancer or liver failure.
Prevent the ‘silent killer’ of Hepatitis B from affecting more individuals, and contribute to HBI-DC by running with our Charity Partner Team. We're asking marathon runners to commit to raising $500, 10K runners to raise a minimum of $50. Teams are welcome, and a little friendly competition is encouraged. We're also thrilled to welcome young philanthropists to join our team at the Healthy Kids Fun Run (no fundraising minimum, of course!).
